Martha Fernandez has extensive experience in partnerships and programmes, business planning and project management. Based in Singapore for the last 12 years, her focus and interest are in the areas of corporate social responsibility, carbon asset management in business and government, and promoting a more robust Asia-Pacific participation in climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts.
She has worked as regional manager for one of the world’s largest carbon asset managers, Bunge Environmental Markets and Climate Change Capital. She was an independent consultant for Global Initiatives Singapore and is currently working with UN Environment on the Asia Pacific Adaptation Network’s outreach activities. Martha has built on her years of experience in the climate space by facilitating programmes through which multi-stakeholders, especially the private and social enterprise sectors, are able to share knowledge and best practices, and more importantly, take action to address climate challenges.
Martha holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management degree from the National University of Singapore and an MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics degree from the School of Economics, University of the Philippines.
